Our commodity chemicals replace fossil fuel based products with equivalent product functionality and performance, but with superior sustainability metrics. Some of our chemicals even surpass the performance of fossil fuel based equivalents currently on the market, such as our high purity glacial acrylic acid.

Our technology provides environmental benefits without the typical cost premium associated with plant-based alternatives. These benefits are enabled by the effectiveness of our proprietary catalyst, efficient processing, near zero waste, and use of CO from waste streams of other processes, biomass via gasification, or other readily available starting materials.

Acrylic Acid

Novomer has developed a cost-competitive, sustainable route to make acrylic acid and acrylate esters.


Polypropiolactone (PPL) is a biodegradable polymer with attractive mechanical and physical properties suitable for packaging and thermoplastic applications.


SustainolTM polyols play a key role in the production of polyurethane products.

Succinic Anhydride and Succinic Acid

Succinic anhydride can be used in a variety of applications such as butanediol, polyurethane, tetrahydrofuran, and more. Succinic acid can be used to make a variety of polymers.
