Sadesh Sookraj, Ph.D.

Chief Operating Officer

Dr. Sookraj has more than 20 years of domestic and international experience in the petrochemical and renewables industries in both business development and technical roles. Recently he was Global Business Manager, Catalysts and Business Lead for Sustainability and Innovation at SABIC Performance Chemicals based in Saudi Arabia. Prior to this he was Chief Scientist at Sasol Technologies in South Africa where he focused on plant R&D, catalyst activation/deactivation, and led the company's University sponsored research programs. He began his career in the nuclear industry in South Africa and has managed strategic technology driven initiatives across different markets within the chemicals and renewables sectors. Dr. Sookraj completed his Ph.D. that focused on the development of homogeneous catalysts at University of KwaZulu-Natal (South Africa) and his MBA at University of Witwatersrand (South Africa). 

Herb Munsterman

Chief Commercial Officer

Mr. Munsterman has more than 20 years experience in the refining, petrochemical and renewable energy industries. Herb has worked on large scale projects involving first adopter and proven technologies throughout the world, including China, India, the Middle East and Europe. Herb's background includes extensive experience in corporate, transactional and intellectual property law, technology development, M&A, public offerings, multinational manufacturing, engineering and research. Prior to Novomer, Herb held leadership positions at UOP LLC, the world's largest licensor of refining technology and DuPont Danisco Cellulosic Ethanol LLC. Herb holds a BS from Iowa State University, an MS in biotechnology from Northwestern University and a JD from Drake University. 

Tony Eisenhut

Executive Chairman of the Board

Mr. Eisenhut is a 1988 graduate of Cornell. In 1999 he co-founded KensaGroup, a technology commercialization company that bridges the gap between university-developed intellectual property and the innovation needs of Fortune 1,000 companies. Through KensaGroup, Mr. Eisenhut has co-founded seven technology-based startups, and serves on the Board of Directors for four of these portfolio companies.

Phil Roberto

Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Roberto brings more than 20 years of corporate finance, strategy and M&A experience to Novomer. Before Novomer, Phil was CFO and CEO of L.A.B. Equipment Inc. and Managing Director and Vice President of Corporate Development at Elkay Manufacturing Company. In addition, Phil held marketing, strategy and business development leadership positions at Dade Behring Inc. and was a chemical division assistant controller at FMC Corporation. Phil has an MBA in finance from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a BS in engineering from Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT). Phil is a registered CPA and is Vice Chairman of the Board of Overseers for the School of Applied Technology at IIT.

Shawn Fisher

Vice President, Business Operations

Mr. Fisher has over 20 years working experience in international organizations; exposure across the entire value chain and multiple disciplines, including starting and running his own businesses, research & development, operations, and executive management. Shawn's career has progressed through various industry sectors, such as petrochemical, mining, information technology, and manufacturing. Shawn has been part of the executive and for the last 10 years as the head of the IT divisions at several companies, supporting various processes in sales, finance, engineering, and project management. Additionally, Shawn has been involved with several consortia over the last few years; these included being a member of the Executive Global Network (South Africa) and serving as a member on two board committees at the South African Qualifications Authority (South Africa). Shawn holds a National Diploma in Chemical Engineering at Cape Peninsula University of Technology and a BSc Hons. in Computer Science at North-West University.

Randir Nirghen

Vice President, Project Management Office

Mr. Nirghen has over 20 years international experience in the petrochemicals industry specializing in project and project controls management. He has experience from small to mega international projects in the civil, building, engineering, information technology, and business environments. Prior to joining Novomer, Randir held the position of Manager of the Project Controls Department at Sasol Exploration and Production International (SEPI). Randir is a member of Project Management South Africa and is certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP) by the Project Management Institute(PMI). Randir possesses a BSc in Quantity Surveying from University of KwaZulu-Natal (South Africa), his MBA is from University of Witwatersrand (South Africa) and he has also completed the Advanced Project Management Programme at the University of South Africa.
