Mr. Eisenhut is a 1988 graduate of Cornell. In 1999 he co-founded KensaGroup, a technology commercialization company that bridges the gap between university-developed intellectual property and the innovation needs of Fortune 1,000 companies. Through KensaGroup, Mr. Eisenhut has co-founded seven technology-based startups, and serves on the Board of Directors for four of these portfolio companies.
Andrew Williamson, Ph.D.
Andrew Williamson is a Director at Physic Ventures, a San Francisco based Venture Capital firm investing in consumer-directed Health and Sustainable Living. Dr. Williamson's investment practice is focused on science-based companies that are developing technologies and products to enable consumers to adopt more sustainable lifestyles. Among the portfolio investments managed by Physic Ventures, Dr. Williamson is a member of the boards of Chromatin, EnergyHub, Halosource, Impinj and Novomer. Prior to joining Physic Ventures, Dr. Williamson spent 10 years leading materials science research and development projects at the Dept. of Energy's National Renewable Energy Laboratory and the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. While at LLNL, Dr. Williamson helped develop strategies for identifying and investing in and commercializing new technologies. Dr. Williamson has published over 50 peer reviewed academic articles and 2 patents. He holds a BA and a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Cambridge and a MBA from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley.
Cory Steffek, Ph.D.
Cory Steffek is the Managing Director of North American Venture Capital at Saudi Aramco Energy Ventures (SAEV), the corporate venturing subsidiary of Saudi Aramco. He is responsible for identifying technology investments of strategic importance in the areas of: upstream oil & gas; downstream oil & gas and value-added products; renewable energy; energy efficiency and water. Before joining SAEV, Cory was in Corporate Development and Strategy at First Solar, where he was responsible for strategic investments and acquisitions with emphasis on new technologies and products. Prior to First Solar, Cory was at the Altira Group, an energy-focused venture capital firm, where he led investments in a broad range of energy technology companies. In addition, he has also held several management roles in product development and engineering at PPG Industries. He holds a PhD in materials chemistry from the University of Michigan and an MBA from The Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
Ignacio Martinez is a partner at Flagship Pioneering where he focuses on sustainability and life sciences investments. Ignacio holds a BS in Economics and Business Administration from Deusto University in Spain, and an International MBA from Instituto de Empresa in Spain and WHU Otto Beisheim School of Management in Germany. Prior to joining Flagship, Ignacio was the Managing Director of Syngenta Ventures, where he was directly involved in investments in the agribusiness, biotechnology and cleantech industries in Europe, North America and Latin America. Syngenta Ventures is the venture capital arm of Syngenta International AG, the world’s largest agrochemical business with more than $14 billion in revenue. Ignacio has international board experience having served as Director in companies from seven different countries. He was also involved in corporate venture capital activities managing the relationship as limited partner with Life Science Partners BioVentures, a $100 million Agribusiness fund and the Gilde European Food and Agribusiness, a €90 million fund.
Gerard H. Langeler
For over 20 years, Gerry has served as a Managing Director with OVP Venture Partners, the most successful venture capital firm in the Pacific Northwest. OVP is finishing its 30th year, having raised its seventh fund (OVP VII) at $250 million. Since its founding in 1983, the partnership has backed over 125 startups – and seen over 50 liquidity events including 25 IPOs with more than 30 others being acquired by public companies. From 1981 to 1992, Gerry was co-founder of Mentor Graphics Corporation (NASDAQ: MENT) where he served as President and Board member. He helped lead Mentor to over $400M in sales and $1B in market capitalization, ranking it as one of the largest and most profitable of all U.S. companies founded in the 1980s. He is the author of The Success Matrix – Winning in Business and in Life (Logos Press – press date March 2014), Take the Money and Run! An Insider’s Guide to Venture Capital (Smashwords and Lulu Press, 2011) and The Vision Trap (Harvard Business Review, March 1992), which continues to be widely used in business schools and corporate training sessions. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of CradlePoint, DataSphere, Novomer, and Group 14 Technologies. He holds a BA, Chemistry from Cornell University, and a MBA from Harvard.
Charles Kresge, Ph.D.
Dr. Kresge is President of ChemSciConsulting LLC, a consulting practice serving technology organizations in the chemical and energy industries. He has over 35 years of experience in the field of catalytic materials and processes. Charlie is widely known for his research on the discovery, characterization, and commercial application of mesoporous materials. Prior to ChemSciConsulting, Charlie was the Chief Technology Officer of Saudi Aramco. Prior to joining Aramco, he was Vice President of R&D at Dow Chemical. Charlie holds over 100 patents dealing with novel catalysts and their applications, and has over 60 scientific publications, some of which are citation classics. He obtained his undergraduate education in chemistry and physics at Swarthmore College and received a PhD in physical chemistry at the University of California, Santa Barbara. Charlie is a member of the National Academy of Engineering of the US National Academies.

Throughout his career, Jim Mahoney has established a track record of driving new innovations in chemistry into high growth markets. He brings over 20 years of senior executive experience at various biotechnology, healthcare and specialty chemicals companies to Novomer. In addition to having been the CEO of Surface Logix Inc. and Prolinx Inc., he previously held senior executive positions at Dade Behring Inc, Baxter International, and FMC Corporation. Mr. Mahoney has an MBA degree from Northwestern University's J.L. Kellogg School of Management, an MMA degree in international economics from the University of Southern California and a BS degree from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
