Foams
Foams from CO2-based polyols
Polyurethane foams are used in a diverse range of products and can be classified into three categories.
- Flexible foams are used in mattresses, furniture, automotive seating, etc. and can be produced by either a continuous slabstock process or a batch molding process.
- Rigid foams are used in structural and insulation applications. They can be supplied as finished boardstock or applied in the field using spray or pour-in-place systems.
- Specialty foams are used in a wide range of high performance applications such as footwear, filters, medical, and industrial products.
Novomer’s polyols can be tailored to suit a wide range of applications across these categories by precisely controlling molecular weight, backbone chemistry, functionality, and primary vs. secondary hydroxyl groups.
